About Me
I have spent more than 12 years in the nonprofit world, and this work is more than a career for me. It is my calling. My journey began as a social worker, and over the years I have worked side by side with people in homeless shelters, low-income programs, and mental health and addiction services. These experiences shaped not just my skills, but my heart for the work. I hold a BSW, but more importantly, I hold a deep commitment to walking alongside marginalized communities and helping them find stability and hope.
I believe a well-written grant is more than paperwork. It is a lifeline. It can mean the difference between a program growing or closing its doors. I write grants that tell a story funders can connect with while also meeting every requirement. My experience spans city, county, and state grants here in North Carolina, along with private foundation and corporate funding. In today’s uncertain climate for government funding, I work to help organizations build strong, diverse funding streams so they can continue their mission without fear of gaps in support.
